A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.~ Lao Tzu

Welcome to the Iron Mountain Consulting website.

Our company was founded to help leaders and managers grow their business while growing themselves as leaders.

The terms manager and leader are often interchangeable. A manager often will have strict guidelines and policies to follow while a leader has some level of autonomy in taking their group into uncharted territory. Fortunately many of the principals and traits that a great leader practices will also greatly impact a manager that wants to drive sales, lower turnover, and positively impact the bottom line. The successful manager transforms themselves into a leader which in turn requires less time for them to have to manage and allows them to lead their respective groups. When a manager or leader has the opportunity to lead they can set higher goals than expected from upper management which in turn creates respect and loyalty from your employees.

People want to feel connected and a part of something especially if it is something that has significant meaning. If you have a contest at work and you win this contest several times in a row your group gets a feeling of confidence that they can achieve this goal consistently over time.  Have you ever had an employee follow you to another leadership role you have taken just because you were a “good leader?” Have you ever had a member from your team grow to your level of management or past within your organization?

One of the driving responsibilities for a manager is to take their group from point A to point B. Sometimes the journey of a leader/manager can sometimes be a very lonely one, with little rewards. Leaders and managers have to make hard decisions that affect not only your company, but your employee’s lives as well. They have to be transparent in their decisions but firm in what the results will be from those decisions. Successful leaders hire well, train well, and release their people to do well.

Whether you’re leading or managing one person or a thousand there are common traits that every leader/manager will need to ensure their success and growth of their business. We at Iron Mountain Consulting can help you through assessment, training, resourcing, and mentoring. If you are looking to grow yourself and/ or your team to be the best it can be, then let us help. If you’re tired of the cycle that hinders your growth, call us today and we can get started with a consultation.

Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself.
When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.
